Position Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through the safe and efficient operation of sit-down forklifts and other material-handling equipment. This role plays a critical part in loading, unloading, storing, and moving materials, including bonded import and export cargo. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials within the warehouse
- Safely maneuver equipment in narrow aisles, tight spaces, and congested work areas while following all safety procedures
- Load and offload trailers and containers
- Handle bonded import and export cargo and maintain required documentation
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
- Report damaged items, discrepancies, or safety concerns to management
- Maintain accurate inventory records using handheld scanners and the WMS system
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including housekeeping duties
- Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned
- Work overtime and travel to different local warehouse locations when business needs require

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant forklift operating experience
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness and ability to learn regulatory guidelines related to import and export cargo handling
- Ability to pass a criminal background check in compliance with CBP and TSA regulations
- Strong attendance and reliability

Preferred Certifications
- Forklift Operator Certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- $18.00 per hour
- Benefits available after 90 days, including:

- Full-Time

- 7:00AM to 5:30PM
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toe boots required
- Additional required personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by the company
