The Warehouse lead is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of warehouse and associated operational activities. Reporting to the UK Warehouse and H&S Manager, the role leads the warehouse activities, ensures safe and efficient goods-in, storage, and goods-out processes, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports excellent service delivery to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities & Competencies:
Not limited to but will include:
- Ensure that you comply with risk-assessed policies and procedures relating to IT Security, Health and Safety + HR.
- Lead, organise and complete the daily workload of the warehouse to ensure planned and ad-hoc operational requirements are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Manage goods-in, put-away, storage, stock control, picking, packing, despatch, returns, warranty returns, and demo-stock activity.
- Ensure warehouse administration and system transactions are completed accurately and promptly, including SAP inputs and outputs where applicable.
- Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, traceability, housekeeping, security, and quality control from receipt through to despatch.
- Support vehicle loading and logistics activity to optimise service, capacity, and cost.
- Monitor warehouse performance and prepare or contribute to operational reporting, including KPIs, stock accuracy, returns, service performance, and workload data.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflow, service levels, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and other departments to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled without compromising warehouse performance.
- Lead and promote safe working practices in line with company procedures, ISO requirements, risk assessments, and relevant health and safety legislation.
- Ensure the warehouse, equipment, and work areas are clean, secure, maintained, and fit for purpose.
- Support the UK Warehouse and H&S Manager with site maintenance, contractor access, security, fire safety, waste and recycling, and other facilities-related requirements where needed.

- Experience in a warehouse role.
- Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritise and reprioritise work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a practical and preventative approach.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Working knowledge of warehouse processes, stock control, logistics, and health and safety requirements.
- Good administrative and systems capability, including operational reporting and ERP/SAP experience where applicable.
- A process-driven approach, with a commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
