Logistics done differently.
We’re currently recruiting for a Cross Dock Manager to organise and lead our warehouse function at our central, shared-user-network site. With a team of 23 warehouse staff - predominantly FLT drivers - you’ll ensure that we are diligent in getting our pallets correctly labelled, loaded and dispatched, achieving our customer KPIs in a timely manner.
We currently run 54 vehicles from the site, covering collections, deliveries and trunking. The day team operates Monday-Friday, and we’re looking for someone to manage their own 45 hour week, start times may vary dependant on site/warehouse requirements
Pay, Benefits And More
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead and drive the warehouse operation from the front, ensuring compliance, performance and the delivery of a world-class service to our customer
- Drive communication, engagement and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse with a constant focus on reviewing and improving processes
- Work with the site management team to ensure that the operational plan is in line with budget
- Maintain communication with the transport team on site to ensure we’re on track for driver dispatch
- Manage labour resource effectively, to achieve correct balance between loading delivery vehicles and trunk vehicles, unloading collections and yard management
What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Previous experience within a palletised warehouse environment or cross-dock is essential
- Experience in leading, managing and developing staff
- The ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and customers
