Warehouse Manager

Location: Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire
Salary: £36,500–£45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (including Sunday working)
Core Hours: 7pm or 8pm - 4am or 5am

About the Role

As a Warehouse Team Manager, you'll lead a team of colleagues, ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, safely and on time. You'll create a positive, high-performing team culture through coaching, communication and strong leadership while driving productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of 8–16 warehouse colleagues.
  • Delivering departmental productivity, quality and customer service KPIs.
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues to maximise performance and engagement.
  • Planning labour and allocating resources to meet operational demands.
  • Managing attendance, overtime, agency usage and labour costs.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across your department.
  • Monitoring team performance and implementing improvement plans where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene.
  • Building strong working relationships across departments.
  • Supporting and deputising for the Senior Operations Manager when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience leading warehouse or logistics teams.
  • Strong organisational and people management skills.
  • Experience managing KPIs and driving operational performance.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach to leadership.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to prioritise, multitask and perform under pressure.
  • Experience coaching and developing teams.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.
  • Confidence resolving issues and managing conflict effectively.
