UK Warehouse Manager | Pattern

About the Role

The UK Warehouse Manager leads all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring seamless receipt, storage, and dispatch while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This is a critical leadership role requiring an experienced professional to optimise operations, build high-performing teams, and align with commercial objectives in line with Pattern’s ambitious growth strategy.


The Day-to-Day

  • Full site accountability for operational performance, including scheduling goods receipts and processing volumes.
  • Financial responsibility for the site’s budget and profit & loss (P&L).
  • Building and managing a high-performing full-time equivalent (FTE) team, along with managing seasonal workloads through flexible supplier partnerships.
  • Driving operational excellence and implementing continuous improvements tailored to the evolving business.
  • Sourcing and negotiating consumables (e.g., packaging, utilities) with vendors.
  • Defining service level agreements (SLAs) and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaboration with the Merchandise Planning team to align volumes, shipping priorities, and forecasting.

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management, with proven P&L accountability at a site level.
  • Proven leadership in high-performing teams, emphasising recruitment, development, and performance management in dynamic environments.
  • Strong financial and negotiation skills, including budgeting, cost control, and vendor relationships.
  • Technical expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software, with a track record of optimisation.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and evidence of operational improvements.
  • Fluent English required; proficient written and verbal communication essential.

  • Step 2: Conversation with the Director of Operations (1 hour session).
  • Step 3: Interview with the VP of Operations (45-minute discussion).
  • Step 4: Top Grading Assessment and reference collection.
  • Step 5: Offer extended and hiring decision made.
