Competitive Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per year


Our customer is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of convenience food, operating a fast-paced, dynamic logistics and manufacturing network. This network serves thousands of major retail stores daily through its extensive operations.

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a major 24/7 picking depot in Tamworth, where over 400 team members and a fleet of 65+ vehicles prepare products for rapid distribution. As the Warehouse Manager, you’ll guide a core team of 250 colleagues (including 3 Warehouse Shift Managers) to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant product selection and despatch.


Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Compliance

  • Continuously monitor all operational processes and workplace environment to maintain full compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Safeguard health and safety through proactive SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) management, ensuring strict adherence to all procedures and systems.
  • Monitor and optimise staff rotas to align staff availability with departmental needs and training demands.

  • Provide clear leadership, direction, and mentorship to the team, ensuring compliance with company policies and maximising performance outcomes.

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience in people leadership within a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong budgeting and financial oversight skills.
  • Expertise in LEAN methodologies to identify and facilitate strategic business improvements.
  • First-hand knowledge or experience with voice-picking systems.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
