Role: Warehouse Manager - Logistics

Location: East London

Schedule Options: Shift rotation

Roles on offer: Day or Night Manager (no mixed shifts)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Pod Talent is excited to partner with an exciting logistics business that is on a major mission to transform the current landscape of the industry. Built around innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, the company continues to scale and is investing heavily in the next generation of operational leaders.

As part of this growth, we are looking for Operations Managers to lead large-scale logistics operations across day and night shifts. These are business-critical leadership positions sitting just below General Manager level, offering the opportunity to lead high-performing teams while playing a key role in shaping the future of the operation.

Reporting into the General Manager

You will oversee a team of Shift Managers and Supervisors while indirectly leading up to 100 colleagues per shift. You will be responsible for dispatch, sortation, inbound operations, planning, service delivery, or people performance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and develop Shift Managers, Supervisors, and operational teams to deliver high-performing operations.
  • Take ownership of shift performance across several metrics: service, quality, productivity, people, and cost.
  • Manage labor planning, resource allocation, and shift readiness.
  • Drive operational excellence through KPI management, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build a strong people culture through coaching, development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with several other teams in the business to resolve issues and improve operational performance.

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of leadership experience within fast-paced logistics, warehouse, or transport operations.
  • Proven ability to lead large operational teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Experience managing KPIs, service levels, productivity, and operational costs.
