Lead a Key Section in a Fast-Paced FMCG Operation

Are you ready to step into a leadership role within a growing, family-run business where people, performance, and progression matter?

At Reynolds Catering Supplies, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading fresh produce and chilled food suppliers to the foodservice industry. With over 3,000 products and a heritage dating back to 1945, we’re continuing to grow — and we’re looking for a Section Head to help lead that journey at our Waltham Cross distribution centre.

The Role

As a Section Head, you will lead and develop a team of 8–16 colleagues, ensuring your area consistently delivers safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations.

You’ll take full ownership of performance within your section — driving productivity, maintaining high standards, and ensuring customer orders are completed to schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance people management, operational delivery, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading, motivating and developing a team of warehouse colleagues to achieve operational targets.
  • Taking ownership of departmental KPIs including productivity, accuracy, attendance, and service levels.
  • Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Planning and allocating resources to meet daily operational demands.
  • Driving continuous improvement across quality, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Managing labour costs including overtime, agency usage, and absence control.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental standards.
  • Delivering clear communication and regular team briefings.
  • Coaching and developing your team to support engagement and progression.
  • Acting as deputy for the Senior Operations Manager when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
