Warehouse Operations Manager

DSV – Warehouse Operations Manager x 2

Job Req Number: 116660

Location: Brackmills, Northampton

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)


About the Role

At DSV, we’re building the world’s leading logistics and transport network—and we’re seeking forward-thinking Warehouse Operations Managers to lead our Brackmills site. This leadership role sits at the heart of our supply chain, demanding expertise in fast-paced operations with room to grow. What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Group Audit standards.
  • Control operational costs in alignment with budgets and forecasts.
  • Review weekly reports, investigate variances, and drive corrective actions.
  • Plan resource levels for seasonal and volume fluctuations.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and staff development.
  • Mentor team leaders, providing feedback and ensuring strong WMS process adherence.
  • Handle employee relations and disciplinary matters in compliance with company policy.
  • Build strong partnerships with retail partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate business priorities clearly to the warehouse team.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Inspire and develop warehouse leaders, setting and reviewing KPIs.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture through leadership and communication.
  • Implement and maintain departmental policies for safe and efficient operations.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:

Experience & Leadership

  • Proven senior management experience in warehouse or logistics.
  • A track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Confident decision-making with exceptional attention to detail.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial, analytical, and cost-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse processes and WMS systems.
  • Strong IT skills (spreadsheets, databases, warehouse management tools).
