MacGregor Black are collaborating with a leading FMCG business to hire a Warehouse Operations Manager for a permanent role based in Solihull.
About the Role
Are you experienced in driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced distribution environment? Do you have extensive experience in operational management within the food or beverage distribution industry? If so, this role could be for you.
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, spanning warehousing, transportation, and distribution of food and FMCG products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution of food and FMCG products.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers while maintaining supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure proper handling and storage conditions for food and FMCG products.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance skills and maintain team morale.
- Coordinate and optimise transportation routes, working closely with drivers and external transport service providers.

Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in logistics management within the food or FMCG industry. Key attributes include:
- A proven track record in managing logistics teams and transportation operations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers and external transport services.
- A strong understanding of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
