Warehouse Operative
KH Resourcing are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving operations within a busy warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to develop their skills further and contribute to the smooth running of our logistics processes. The position involves physical tasks, including heavy lifting, and requires adherence to safety standards at all times.
Pay: £12.76
Shift: Mon-Fri
Time: 7.30am - 4pm or 8.15am - 5pm
Duties
- Handling materials through picking, packing, and stock replenishment to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently (training provided)
- Managing shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
- Maintaining accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Organising stock in designated areas, ensuring proper storage and easy accessibility
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy
- Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks where necessary to ensure equipment functionality
- Ensuring the warehouse environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is desirable (certification preferred) but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for stock accuracy and quality control
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of basic equipment maintenance is a plus
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods
