AES Smart is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our growing team based in Dartford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-established company that continues to expand, with the potential for a long-term career path for someone who excels in the role.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 15:30
The role will include:
- Picking and preparing orders for engineers.
- Loading and unloading delivery lorries and vans, both manually and using a forklift truck.
- Liaising with engineers by phone and face-to-face.
- Scanning stock in and out of the warehouse, including deliveries, orders and returned assets.
- Using IT systems, stock control systems and our business management portal.
- Managing stock levels and placing weekly orders to maintain availability.
- Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and wider warehouse team.
- Delivering stock to off-site locations across the country.
- Assisting with housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Completing overtime when required, including occasional evenings or weekends.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A reliable, honest and professional approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to manage stock accurately.
- Previous warehouse experience (desirable but not essential).
- A current Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (preferred but not essential).
- Experience using IT systems, Excel and stock control systems (highly advantageous).
- The ability to carry out manual handling tasks as required.
