About the Role
Here at Blueleaf, we're looking for a passionate Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team in Crawley. In summary you will undertake a range of warehouse related duties, with key responsibilities of picking, packing, labelling and loading of delivery vehicles to ensure customer’s orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. You will have the preparedness to get the job done with positivity and have excellent attention to detail, to ensure the efficient picking, labelling, packing and dispatch of customer orders enabling us to meet our customer demands on time and in full. This is a permanent full time role working 45 hours a week 13:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Friday. Immediate start available.
Your Day To Day Responsibilities
- Live and promote Blueleaf's Culture and Values.
- Multi-skill functionality role covering all working elements of the depot from Goods in / Picking / Packing / MHE driving & tipping plus loading of vehicles.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed and despatched to the required standard with appropriate paperwork completed.
- Liaise with Customer Service team to ensure relevant and timely information is provided relating to any issue with customer consignments.
- Ensure the checking of returns from company vehicles.
- Produce delivery schedule for direct dispatch operations.
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and goods are carried out in accordance with manual handling guidance.
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health and safety and environmental regulations to ensure both your own safety and others, wearing the safety equipment provided by the company.
- Handle any hazardous materials in line with product discretion and regulations.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Make recommendations to aid operational efficiency, and add value.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure good handling of any hazardous materials in line with product data sheet and regulations.
- Replenishment of warehouse pick face items on a daily basis.
- Carry out stock counts as requested by shift manager.
- May be required to cover delivery drivers' absence to ensure customers receive deliveries.

Skills & Experience
- Proven work experience within a warehouse environment lifting heavy goods.
- Teamwork skills willing to participate as a full member of the team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge in health and safety, manual handling and hazardous substances.
- Ideally a full driving licence, as this role could involve moving delivery vans.

What will we offer?
We will offer a salary of £31,300 per annum, paid breaks, and 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays. You will be eligible for inclusion in a discretionary bonus scheme and a number of welfare benefits, such as auto-enrolment into our pension scheme, Death in Service benefit, access to our Medicash scheme that provides cash back towards everyday healthcare bills and a wide range of other wellbeing benefits including access to an employee assistance program.
Location
You will be located at our Crawley depot in West Sussex.
