Warehouse Operative (6 months fixed term)

Do you have previous experience working in a warehouse and want to develop your career within the supply chain and logistics industry? If so, our Warehouse Operative role is the job for you!

Here at Langdons, we have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Bridgwater (Showground Road) on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Sunday to Thursday nights, from 02:30 to 12:00, and in return, we offer a highly competitive salary of £30,077.19 per annum.


The Warehouse Operative Role

This dynamic role guarantees movement as you undertake warehouse-related duties in a safe, cost-effective, and efficient manner.


About Us

At Langdons, we deliver fresh consignments and frozen goods across the UK and Ireland, often within 24 hours. With 12 depots and 375 lorries, we lead the industry in providing a 24-hour chilled and frozen food service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and check loads, verifying correct packaging and labelling
  • Ensure food safety standards are met during stock handling
  • Operate mechanical handling equipment safely for storage and transport
  • Assist with load assembly for despatch and vehicle loading
  • Conduct quality checks for cleanliness and hygiene compliance
  • Identify and address hazards to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements & Experience

You will bring:

  • An up-to-date licence for designated mechanical equipment
  • IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to compile, analyse, and interpret data
  • Extensive warehouse and food safety knowledge, plus strong health and safety awareness
