Your role
We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our Wolverhampton team, to provide a professional and prompt logistical service to Atlas Copco Tools and Industrial Assembly Solutions (ACTIAS).
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Receive all deliveries, unpack goods, check and distribute to the relevant person or department.
- Stock inventory and parts to be goods receipted and placed in the correct storage location including physical location and location on the company’s management system (SAP).
- To pick, pack and despatch orders from local stock.
- To arrange transport for the despatch of customer orders.
- To arrange transport for shipments to CSW (Central Service Workshop) including commercial invoice and all other required shipping documentation.
- Ensure that all outbound deliveries have the correct paperwork attached.
- To load any outbound trailers, be they onward shipments to outsourced distribution point, customer despatches or return shipments to suppliers.
- To arrange specialist transportation to and from customer sites of Atlas Copco Tools and Industrial Assembly Solutions parts, materials, and equipment.
- To arrange for demo units/equipment to be delivered to customer sites and return to Atlas Copco as directed by the Customer Support Team.
- To assist with conducting stock takes on a required basis, including recording the location and description of all items held in various stock locations.
- To be responsible for tracking and reporting of TAT (Turn Around Time) of all shipments with CSW / PTD and to work with freight companies and CSW to escalate any shipment delays.
- To resolve shipment delays with freight companies and CSW / PTD.
- To provide shipment delay information to service admin team for pro-active customer updates and communication.
- Run weekly reports and place orders for required parts.
- To ensure disposal of all scrapped goods and fluids in line with the companies’ environmental policies and legal requirements.

- Computer literate.
- Able to work with the companies operating systems of SAP and SPIRIT (current systems) – full training will be provided.
- Strong organisational and planning and ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Customer focussed.
- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
