Warehouse Operative – Tankersley Distribution Centre
We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy a challenge to join our warehouse team at our Distribution Centre in Tankersley, South Yorkshire. We’re seeking someone with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you’ll work as part of a team within a busy chill and ambient warehouse. While previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment may be beneficial, full training will be provided.

Shifts & Hours
Vacancy A: 37.5 hours per week, working Sunday to Thursday (2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 6pm on Saturday & Sunday).
Vacancy B: 37.5 hours per week, working Tuesday to Saturday (same working hours apply as above).
Key Note: All roles require work in chill and ambient departments and bank holiday shifts.
Pay Rate
£12.75 per hour, paid via a 4-weekly basis.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities & Key Duties
- Checking and receiving deliveries — Validate incoming goods upon unloading
- Quality control & stock management — Identify damaged or missing items; sort and relocate stock to designated storage areas
- Warehouse organisation — Maintain accurate stock records via the warehouse management system
- Hygiene & safety compliance — Strict adherence to environmental, food safety, quality, and hygiene procedures
- Operational tasks — Assist in packing lines; operate machines/equipment; sort, weigh, label and ink-jet products
- Order fulfilment — Pick orders using handheld scanners; prepare pallets with accurate wrapping and labelling
- Logistics support — Organise transfers, load/unload vehicles for store deliveries
- Housekeeping & documents — Ensure clean and compliant spaces; timely completion of all required paperwork
- Digital & technical tasks — Use technology to input data, track KPIs, and ensure efficient workflows
