Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative based in Altens, you’ll play a critical role in our plumbing, heating, and cooling trade supply operations—ensuring efficiency, customer excellence, and high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Perform general warehouse tasks, including:
    • Picking, packing, and processing customer orders
    • Unpacking and organising deliveries (manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, sinks, radiators, and toilets)
    • Maintaining high operational standards in our warehouse
  • Support trade customers at the counter by:
    • Identifying their product needs
    • Offering personalised recommendations
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, demonstrating:
    • Promptness and professionalism
    • A proactive, customer-focused approach

Hours & Expectations:

  • 42.5-hour week (Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00)
  • Rota-based shift work, including 1 in 4 Saturdays (09:00–13:00)

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for candidates with:

✔ Experience in a high-volume warehouse environment ✔ A positive attitude and willingness to learn & upskill ✔ Prior face-to-face sales and customer service (retail, wholesale, or client support) ✔ Capability to meet manual handling requirements safely
