Warehouse Operative – GSF Car Parts
About The Role
At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives are integral to our operations, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and delivered efficiently to meet customer expectations. These champions of customer service play a crucial role in maintaining stock availability, accuracy, and on-time delivery—aliasing coordination of warehouse stock with tight working deadlines.
Main Duties Include
- Checking and accurately putting away supplier-delivered parts
- Efficiently picking and loading vans with precision and in compliance with deadlines
- Evaluating customer returns for potential resale, warranty claims, or surcharges
- Verifying stock quantities against the computer system and ensuring items are stored in the correct bin locations
Working Hours
Average 41 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturday shifts required.
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A proven track record in a fast-paced warehouse or similar high-volume environment
- Ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure
- Strong teamwork skills with a cooperative attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail in tasks like stock recording and delivery accuracy
- Commitment to customer service, with a firm grasp of deadline-driven work
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Desirable: Knowledge or experience of car parts or the automotive industry
