The Opportunity
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our Goods In team at our Manufacturing site in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position and is working Monday - Friday - days only.
On Offer
- Salary of £13.29 per hour (£33,172 per annum)
- Contracted hours of 48 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday (06:00 to 16:00)
- Friday (06:00 - 14:00)
- Monthly paid - last Friday of each month.
Please note there is no public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!
The Role
To ensure processes are followed within the warehouse to ensure products are receipted in, stored and despatched to the agreed standards and loading plans whilst keeping our colleagues safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply the production departments with raw and packaging materials in order to maintain a continuous production programme
- Locate all finished goods from production areas into the Warehouse for storage until despatch
- Unload as and when required all incoming vehicles and rack away the materials following acceptance and GRN generation
- Pick and assemble loads ready for dispatch. Load outgoing vehicles with finished goods as detailed on the loading despatch paperwork
- Work in a safe manner at all times ensuring the safety of myself and colleagues. Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times and raise any health and safety concerns through the appropriate channels
- Ensure FLT fleet is fit for purpose through completing starter documentation and reporting damage to FLTs and plant damage by following the appropriate procedure
- Undertake training and assist with the training of other colleagues when required. Act as a buddy for new colleagues and provide guidance where necessary.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in a same / similar role within Manufacturing
- FLT / PED / PPT experience is desirable
- A good standard of education; demonstrates good literacy and numerical skills, able to understand, communicate and report clearly in English
