Position Overview:

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the safe and accurate physical & systemic receiving, storage, picking, counting, packing and distribution of stock for Finning UK and accountability/ownership of the customer facing Parts Counter to ensure the clients/customers receive their orders on time and in full. Responsible for assisting the operation in realising and achieving all KPI’s/ SLA’s.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily receipt of all inward stock orders, IBTs, and returns, and daily dispatch of all parts orders, using computer technology to support all processes.
  • Accurate pick, pack and ship all parts orders to meet the customer need by date.
  • Be proactive and contribute to continuously improving warehouse processes and procedures.
  • To achieve 99% stock accuracy in the warehouse by working accurately and responsibly.
  • To dispatch and deliver parts through various courier networks using different software packages.
  • Responsible for adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental policies, taking a proactive approach to reduce risks in the workplace.
  • Responsible for reporting discrepancies /damage to any stock.
  • To correctly load and unload outbound, inbound and cross docked freight, correctly identifying and labelling goods and containers to ensure right destination is reached.
  • As Warehouse Operative in Parts and Collection you will receive, collate, protect, pack and label goods for safe return to suppliers.
  • To receipt and inspect returned cores and return to NDC for final core inspection.
  • To report to Supervisor any problems with the physical aspects of stores operation such as damaged goods, out of stock situations, delivery shortages & discrepancies.
  • Responsibility for housekeeping to a high standard to achieve minimum 3 star contamination control.
  • Flexibility to meet changing customer demands.
  • Flexibility in Saturday working.
  • Potential branch cover at other facilities as and when required.
  • Engaged and motivated to deliver personal development performance to meet objectives and KPI's.

  • Actively promote “Parts Direct” and Parts.CAT.com sales channels to customers using the collection point.
  • Loading and unloading of freight using correct MHE and following correct safe handling procedures.
  • Active involvement in the improvement and maintenance of the working areas and the “Collection Point” following 5S and Contamination Control procedures.
  • Constant awareness of SHEQ obligations.
  • Maintain commitments to “Our Promise”.
  • Banking and Petty Cash reconciliation.
  • Respond to any customer delivery queries within 1 hour.

Education and Experience:

  • Good level of education
  • Warehouse experience
  • MHE Licences
  • Excellent customer service experience – preferably customer facing
  • Demonstrable experience in remote working
  • Warehouse/Logistic qualification (desirable)
