At GXO Sherburn in Elmet, we're looking for motivated and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team supporting our customer, Sainsbury's. Whether you're experienced in warehousing or looking to take the next step in your logistics career, GXO offers the training, support and development opportunities to help you succeed.
Working across our ambient, chilled and freezer environments, you'll play a key role in keeping products moving efficiently through the warehouse, ensuring stores receive stock on time and in perfect condition.
This is a full-time permanent position where you will work ‘5 out of 7’ days, on fixed morning shift covering the hours between 05:00 and 13:00.

As a Warehouse Operative you’ll get:
- An hourly rate of £14.05.
- An additional £2.65 for any hours worked after 18:00.
- Freezer allowance of £25 per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Picking and packing customer orders using a voice-picking system.
- Receiving, storing and dispatching products safely and accurately.
- Supporting day-to-day warehouse operations across different departments.
- Operating MHE equipment when required (full training provided).
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work across warehouse departments and temperature-controlled environments, including the freezer.
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial, but not essential.
- Ability to carry out manual handling activities, including lifting, pulling and pushing.
