About the job

Arla Foods are looking for proactive and efficient Warehouse Operative to join the team at our flagship site in Aylesbury on a permanent basis. Working a 12 hour rotating shift pattern covering both days and nights you will monitor the Tet Returns area ensuring key targets are achieved. The shift pattern is over 5 weeks and includes 10 consecutive days off!

As a Warehouse Operative you will support drivers on the unloading of empty trolleys, segregate damaged and foreign trolleys to allocated areas and feed good quality trolleys to the automated machines that supply the production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Work to high standards to achieve departmental targets in Quality, Efficiency, Waste and cost reduction
  • Resolve minor machine errors and carry out basic maintenance (cleaning, asset checks)
  • Monitor equipment performance and correct / raise issues before they become problems
  • Maintain strict food hygiene and health and safety standards
  • Ensure quality, hygiene, health and safety standards are met
  • Actively promote communication links and good working relationships with colleagues
  • Maintain high standards of work ethics in respect to lateness and absences

What you’ll need to be successful in the role?

We are looking for a motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules

If you have previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided

You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings

You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
