Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm | 4 on / 4 off Shift Pattern
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) to join a busy manufacturing environment in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to join a growing business, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position and develop within the role.
This is a varied position with responsibility for goods in, packaging coordination, stock control and forklift operations, ensuring materials are available and managed effectively across the site.
Please note: Due to the location of the site, applicants must have their own transport.
Shift Pattern
4 days on / 4 days off
7:00am - 6:00pm

Duties Of The Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance Forklift) Will Include
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift as part of the warehouse team
- Receiving deliveries of packaging materials and completing intake checks
- Checking deliveries against paperwork and ensuring stock is recorded accurately
- Managing and organising packaging stores and storage areas
- Maintaining stock levels of packaging materials including boxes, labels, films, pallets and other consumables
- Carrying out regular stock checks including daily, weekly and monthly counts
- Ensuring packaging is clearly labelled, identifiable and stored correctly
- Maintaining effective stock rotation procedures
- Supplying packaging materials to production areas when required
- Supporting goods in, dispatch and general warehouse operations
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Following all company health & safety, quality and operational procedures

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Previous experience within a warehouse, goods in or packaging environment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
- A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be advantageous
