Warehouse Operator

Full time: Monday – Friday 9.30am – 6.30pm

The role: Warehouse Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team, the purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products to feed business operations and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operator

  • Ensure all courier deliveries are completed daily in a timely manner
  • Unload courier vans and trailers safely, using manual handling techniques or pallet trucks
  • Verify shipment contents against delivery documentation
  • Identify and report any damaged or missing items, ensuring discrepancies are logged and escalated
  • Assist in all cross functional areas of the warehouse with loading and unloading of goods
  • Enter all information into the Warehouse management system for deliveries and shipments
  • Distribute products to the correct locations in the warehouse
  • Ensure customers’ orders are picked and packed accurately and efficiently for dispatch
  • Undertake and support stock checks as required
  • Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
  • Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
  • General warehouse tidying and sorting to ensure operational efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader in line with company needs
  • Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • A good level of fitness is needed as manual handling is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Able to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Bendi, Counterbalance forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential
