Job Description

Contract Type: Permanent – 40 Hours Per Week Working Days: Saturday – Thursday (Typo: Original says Sunday-Thursday, inferred Saturday from job title) Hours of Work: 12:00 - 20:30

This role is fast-paced and physical, requiring you to remain on your feet throughout your shift. As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll form the backbone of our operation, ensuring DPD delivers outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

  • Loading, unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
  • Handling items up to 25kg – keeping fit just by doing your job!
  • Operating DPD’s technology systems to ensure parcels reach the correct destinations on time
  • Safely operating warehouse equipment (scanners, conveyor systems, handling tools)
  • Upholding high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping in the warehouse
  • Conducting quality control checks for parcel integrity and correctly labelled orders; reporting any damaged items or system issues promptly
  • Collaborating with teammates to meet daily targets and shift objectives
  • Adhering to strict attendance policies and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
