Job Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the picking and packing for our seasonal flu client. The work will be carried out in our large chiller area, with temperatures ranging between 2-8 degrees. We have 16 vacancies available on a 12 week fixed term contract, with the potential for some of these vacancies to then be made into a full time permanent contract.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week, 8am start
  • flexibility required for overtime, including weekend coverage when required

Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour up to 40 hours, any hours worked over 40 including weekends will be paid at time and one half rate £19.06 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and efficient picking, checking, and packing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Receipt of inbound stock, ensuring temperature compliance is maintained.
  • Accurate completion of all Goods In, picking, Packing and despatch paperwork.
  • Entering shipping and inventory data in the warehouse management system.
  • Processing of return (including quarantined, damaged, and batch recalls).
  • Undertake stock counts and cycle counting activities.
  • Scanning of consignments and sorting into delivery locations
  • Transfer goods between sites when required.
  • Ensure highest levels of hygiene is maintained throughout the warehouse, and associated areas, in accordance with Good Distribution Practice/Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent - Preferred
  • Warehouse Experience - Preferred
  • Previous temperature controlled warehouse experience desired but not essential as full training will be given
  • Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft office - Word, Excel
  • Knowledge of electronic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) desired but not essential
  • Good organisational and prioritization skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player mentality with ability to work on own initiative
