Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver - Early / Late Shift
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver to join our client, a leading global manufacturer in Huddersfield. The role will be part of their Morn/Aft shift warehouse team. This is a hands-on role that is essential to ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished goods throughout our operation. You will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of stock while operating forklift trucks, pedestrian pallet truck and other warehouse equipment in accordance with company procedures and standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Accurately receiving and documenting all components and raw materials.
- Safely unloading goods receipts and storing stock in the correct locations.
- Supplying materials to production teams on time and in full.
- Ensuring stock rotation is maintained using a FIFO (First In, First Out) system.
- Maintaining batch rotation for all released stock.
- Providing QA, QC, Marketing and Production samples when requested.
- Carrying out daily FLT and electric runabout inspections and reporting any defects immediately.
- Charging, watering and maintaining FLT batteries in line with supplier guidelines.
- Receiving, storing and dispatching finished goods to third-party distributors.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, safety and compliance across the warehouse.
- Supporting the Warehouse/Logistics management team with additional operational tasks as required.

What We're Looking For
- A valid FLT licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred).
- A Valid PPT licence (Pedestrian Pallet Truck).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of stock control and First In First Out principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling documentation and stock movements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team on a night shift pattern.
- A proactive attitude towards safety, quality and continuous improvement.

What We Offer
- Rotating Day Shift: Week 1- 0600 to 1336 Mon - Fri Week 2- 1300 to 2200 Mon to Thurs and 1330 to 1730 Friday.
- Rate of Pay £14.88phr incl SA.
