Warehouse operative Full time Days

Warehouse Operative (Packaged & Fresh Distribution Centres) – Hinckley

About the Role

Becoming a Warehouse Operative opens up incredible career possibilities – it's how many of our managers started out. To succeed, you'll need to put people at the heart of everything, building strong relationships within your team to support our customers effectively.

This role is perfect for hands-on individuals who enjoy tackling challenges as part of a team, stay active throughout the day, and see the direct impact of their work.

You don’t need prior warehouse experience – we’ll provide full training to equip you for success.

A Day in the Life

  • Packaged Distribution Centre: Automated, dynamic workflows requiring precise order assembly.
  • Fresh Distribution Centre: Manual handling of perishable goods, fast-paced operations.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting store colleagues by assembling orders accurately to meet customer demands.
  • Picking and manually handling stock efficiently.
  • Maintaining a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Ensuring stock is received, stored, packed, and transported to the highest standards.
  • Taking responsibility for safety – your own and your team’s.
  • Mastering tools and Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) with provided training.
  • Collaborating seamlessly as part of a team or working independently when required.

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • The energy to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A driven, eager-to-learn attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • Reliability and punctuality to meet operational demands.
  • The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-evolving workplace.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
