No warehouse experience? No problem. We'll provide all the training, support and PPE you need to succeed.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring Iceland stores receive the products they need. Working across our Ambient, Chill and Freezer departments, you'll use voice-picking technology to pick orders and load products onto pallets and cages using LLOPs (Low Level Order Pickers), with full training provided from day one.

Shift Patterns

We offer a range of full-time shift patterns (37.5 hours per week) to suit different lifestyles:

  • Rotating: 06:00–14:00 & 14:00–22:00, working any 5 days from 7
  • Permanent PM: 14:00–22:00, Monday to Friday
  • Nights in chill chamber: 19:00–03:00, working any 5 days from 6
  • Weekend AM: Friday to Tuesday
  • Weekend PM: Friday, Sunday, plus 2 additional weekdays

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

  • Picking customer orders across our Ambient, Chill and Freezer departments
  • Using a voice-picking system to accurately select products
  • Loading goods onto pallets and cages using LLOP (Low Level Order Picker) trucks
  • Working safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity
  • Contributing to a positive team environment where everyone works together to deliver excellent results

What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends and varying shift patterns where required
  • Willingness to work in a multi-temperature environment, from ambient through to freezer conditions
  • Good communication skills in English, enabling you to follow instructions and work safely within the warehouse environment
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to working safely, accurately and efficiently to meet performance targets
