The Role:

We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Peterborough.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, this role is responsible for the timely processing of inventory both receipting from our suppliers and despatching to our customers.

Responsibility:

  • Responsible for accurately picking and packing stock across the warehouse using the ERP system
  • Utilise courier software to accurately input customer orders onto the system for onward delivery across the UK
  • Operate manual handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to process internal and external customer requirements.
  • Carry out regular cycle counts across the warehouses to maintain stock accuracy and complete investigations where required
  • Responsible for the inward processing of all inventory into the warehouse, ensuring accuracy is achieved to allow for onward movement to our customers.
  • Maintain a high level of stock control and ensure security procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Load/unload couriers and containers accurately and safely
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by manager.

Competent using:

  • Microsoft Office, namely Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working with an ERP system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of prioritising tasks
  • Proven ability to work quickly and accurately, with an eye on suggesting improvements to processes and systems.

Current counter balance and reach fork truck licence

Experience working in a warehouse environment
