Warehouse Operative
Temporary
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: Mon-Thu 22:00-06:00, Fri 17:30-22:30
Training: Full training provided on dayshift for first few weeks
Pay: £16.28 per hour (includes 28% shift allowance)
Tenure: Ongoing Temporary (potential permanent)
Warehouse Operative Role
A great opportunity to join one of Huddersfield's employers of choice as a Warehouse Operative on the nightshift. You'll support a large manufacturing operation, ensuring materials and finished goods are moved, stored and supplied accurately and safely. A current PPT licence is essential.
Warehouse Operative Key Responsibilities
- Goods In: accurate receipt, documentation and safe storage of components and raw materials
- Stock rotation: ensuring correct batch rotation and adherence to operating procedures
- Material supply: delivering components/materials to production teams on time and in full
- Sample handling: supplying QA, QC, Marketing or Production samples as required
- PPT operations: operating Electric Runabouts, completing daily inspections and maintaining batteries
- Warehouse safety: maintaining a safe, tidy working environment at all times
- Finished goods: receipting, storing and dispatching to 3rd-party distributors

Warehouse Operative Skills and Experience
- Current PPT licence - essential
- Experience in a busy warehouse environment
- Understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Able to work permanent nightshift
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to follow detailed procedures
