Assembly Operatives – Witham, Overview

All Square Recruitment are excited to partner with a premier manufacturer in Witham to find dedicated Assembly Operatives to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be at the heart of the manufacturing process, responsible for the assembly of high-quality parts where accuracy is paramount. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Precision Assembly: Building intricate components and sub-assemblies to exact specifications.
  • Technical Interpretation: Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics to ensure correct assembly.
  • Manual Dexterity: Using a variety of hand tools and specialised equipment with accuracy and care.
  • Quality Control: Understanding and applying precise measurements to ensure every part meets rigorous standards.
  • Operational Safety: Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A positive attitude and a background in a hands-on assembly or manufacturing environment
  • Technical Competence:
    • Proven experience working with hand tools
    • Solid understanding of measurements
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards and spot deviations from a design
  • Drawing Literacy: Confident ability to read and follow engineering or technical drawings
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a skilled team

Working Hours

There are currently two shifts available:

  • Monday to Friday 11:30–18:00 (times corrected for accuracy)
