Warehouse Operative – Nights
Location: Alliance Automotive Logistics, Rotherham
Reports To: First Line Manager

About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham (night shift), you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment while meeting exacting standards of accuracy and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, adhering to company procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if needed)
- Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with loading/unloading delivery vehicles efficiently
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
- Report discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns promptly to management
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures for warehouse operations and safety
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is highly advantageous (though not mandatory)
- Ability to work physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and extended periods of movement
- Strong communication skills and willingness to operate as part of a cohesive team
- Attention to detail with a commitment to precision in order processing
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required
- Basic IT skills for data entry/scan-related tasks
