We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Motherwell, Monday to Friday night shift, in a full-time permanent role.

Shifts and rates are below.

  • 22:00 start - Pay Rate £12.88 plus £2.01 shift allowance.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Carry out relevant processes relating to Goods in/Order picking/Goods out, as directed.
  • Carry out all work, paying close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Identify and understand errors and deal with as directed.
  • Contribute to solutions to problems/errors, to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Complete all tasks within specified time. Ensure quality of work always.
  • Complete all processes in a safe manner, having due regard to all Health, Safety and Hygiene standards.
  • Work in a safe manner, having due regard to the safety of those around.
  • Use MHE as directed and in a safe manner.
  • Work within XPO’s processes and values always.
  • Contribute to achievement of customer targets and standards.
  • Understand customer values and requirements.
  • Work as part of the customers’ team.
  • Communicate at all levels.
  • Use own initiative.
  • Adopt a positive approach.
  • Treat colleagues with respect.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
  • Work within the XPO Logistics’ team.
  • To undertake any other reasonable task as required.

  • Numeracy and literacy skills to complete work documentation.
  • A current FLT would be beneficial although training can be provided.
  • Must be physically fit as job can entail a lot of manual handling and heavy lifting.
  • Skills Ability to work speedily and accurately.
  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • Experience of working in a warehouse.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues relating to warehouse environment.
  • Experience of working to performance targets.
  • Experience of using scanners and other I.T devices.
  • Previous experience of working on a shift arrangement.
  • Able to work flexibly due to overtime requirement.
