Returns & Warehouse Operative – Full Time, Permanent (Unit 3, Filmer Way, Marsh Barton, Exeter)

Location: Exeter (EL2 8YX) Hours: 40–42.5 Start Date: Immediate


About the Role

Parts In Motion—**pride of the Alliance Automotive Group—is seeking a dynamic Returns & Warehouse Operative to join its ambitious team. With strong performance targets ahead, we’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure, exemplifies teamwork, and delivers with precision.

Core responsibilities are centred on a fast-paced warehouse environment. A background in warehousing is preferred, though primary criteria focus on a dedicated work ethic, strong attention to detail, and adaptability. The ability to commute reliably to Unit 3 Filmer Way, Marsh Barton, Exeter EX2 8YX is essential.

Your Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Customer Returns:

    • Process returns for Refunds/Replacements according to company procedures
    • Target: Resolve claim cases within 48 hours of receipt
  • Escaping & Supplies Workflows:

    • Support warehouse goods exit operations (order fulfilment, packaging)
    • Liaise with couriers on inbound/outbound logistics (including returns handling)
    • Interface between internal operations and brands/distributions – maintaining relationship integrity
  • Warranty Management:

    • Handle warranty requests, including initiation, tracking, and follow-ups
    • Work with suppliers/carriers to ensure timely workflows
  • After-Sales Support:

    • Partner with Customer Service for ad-hoc aftercare tasks
    • Flag & resolve return issues with affected customers (as needed)
  • Warehouse Support:

    • Maintain tidy, orderly, safe working conditions and appearance
    • Comply with company health & safety protocols

Requirements

  • Valid ability to meet the daily travel obligations: 40–42.5 hours/Core 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Mon–Fri (4-week notice for shift) *
  • Complacing essential precision for returns processes, supported by team coordination
  • Proficient use of basic computer applications and readiness to train on new systems
