Warehouse Operative - Offshore Backload & Returns
Warehouse Operative – Returns and Dispatch (Permanent)
Employment Type: Permanent Location: Peterhead Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 0800–1700)
Reporting To: Warehouse Team Lead
Key Responsibilities
This role ensures the safe, accurate, and timely processing of returned cargo and equipment at Dispersals, including:

Decanting and Dispatch:
- Safely transfer, inspect, and dispatch returns to external vendors, ensuring full compliance with documentation and internal systems.

CCU and Cargo Handling:
- Prepare, inspect, and dispatch Combined Cargo Units (CCUs) and cargo to vendors, verifying road transport suitability, documentation accuracy, and correct system allocation.

Manifest and Documentation Management:
- Verify returns against manifests, photograph all relevant returns, and accurately record discrepancies.
- Escalate issues via non-conformances and Subject Information Disclosure (SIDs) where required.

Vendor and Transport Coordination:
- Liaise with Transport Controllers and Drivers to coordinate High Value Cargo Reைத்ures (HCRs), priority shipments, and general cargo dispatch.

Dangerous Goods Compliance:
- Ensure ADR-compliant documentation and labelling for any dangerous goods handled.

Safety and Training Participation:
- Engage in pre-job briefings, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings to uphold a proactive safety culture.
- Stay updated on procedures, work instructions, and risk assessments, contributing recommendations for improvement as needed.

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
- Forklift License (current)
- Previous Operations/Logistics Experience
- Dangerous Goods Awareness (ADR/IMDG)
- Offshore Equipment/Vendor Location Awareness
