Warehouse Operative – Permanent Role

OSWESTRY DAIRY, ARLA FOODS, SY10 8NL

About the Role

Arla Foods Oswestry is looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their team if you are motivated, hardworking, and passionate about delivering high-quality products.

At this cutting-edge site, they produce and pack over 79,000 tonnes of cheese annually (1,620 tonnes per week), including iconic Arla Pro, Castello, BOB, and private label brands serving major retailers such as Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Asda, and Aldi.

As a part of the warehouse team, you will play a critical role in maintaining reliability, quality, and efficiency in our cheese production.


Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative, your core duties will include:

  • Movement & Handling:

    • Safely transferring finished product from production areas into refrigerated storage areas
  • Cold Store Operations:

    • Managing order picking, inventory counts, loading, and housekeeping
  • Vehicle & Equipment Handling:

    • Loading/unloading trucks
    • Operating pallet trucks and handling logistics paperwork
    • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards strictly

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we are seeking an individual who:

  • Has ambition, drive, and a strong work ethic
  • Is able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Has a good attendance record and is eager to learn and develop
  • Takes quality seriously, aligning with Arla’s high standards

Previous experience isn’t mandatory but will be an advantage:

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or food production environments

All necessary training will be provided during your induction period.
