Warehouse Operative

Hours & Pay

  • Full-time: 37.5 hours across 5 days per week or 15 hours across 2 days per week
  • Yearly rates per hour:
    • Day shifts: £13.69 (or £10.90 if under 21)
    • Afternoon/late/night shifts: £14.85 (or £12.35 if under 21)
  • Full-time guarantee: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
  • Overtime: Regularly available for extra earnings

About the Role

At our North Lanarkshire distribution centre, you’ll be responsible for supporting our 300+ retail shops with order fulfilment. This is a permanent role with five-day weeks (including Sundays), including working late and night shifts where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order picking: Accurately and efficiently pack stock on pallets for wholesale distribution.
  • Inventory management: Maintain stock records to prevent shortages or oversupply.
  • Warehouse upkeep: Carry out cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Process adherence: Work safely within health and safety guidelines.

You may have opportunities to progress beyond order-picking into receiving goods and loading operations.


Requirements

  • Age: 18+ (due to Health & Safety requirements).
  • Physical ability: The role is demanding—fitness and productivity are essential.
  • Attitude: Friendly, hard-working, and solution-focused approach.
  • Preferences:
    • Past experience in a warehouse or manual handling environment recommended.
    • A preference for our part-time or flexible shift-based hours.
