Job Details
- Role: Warehouse Operative (PM)
- Working Hours: 33 hours per week
- Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 16:00–23:00
- Friday: 16:00–22:00
- Sunday: 08:00–13:00
- 1 rotation day off
- Saturday off
- Salary: £12.96 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced pharmaceutical supply chain team at our Service Centre in Newcastle. As a key player serving millions of patients across the UK, you will ensure the integrity of the medical supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish the Automat System
- Pick and pack orders on manual picking belts, bulk, fridge, and secure areas
- Conduct transport and routing tasks to deliver completed orders to their destinations
Requirements
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle varied tasks
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication, visual accuracy, and numeracy skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment aligned with health and safety standards
Physical & Health Requirements
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks in compliance with Health and Safety standards
- If manual handling presents concerns, must disclose at interview to discuss suitability

Additional Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
- 2+ years’ experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field mandatory
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
- Knowledge of:
- Fleet operations and transportation support
- Warehouse operations (receiving, storage, order prep, shipment processing)
- Logistics documentation (transaction controls, maintenance)
- Warehouse/transportation systems (tracking, status updates)
- Loss prevention, operational control
- Ability to:
- Process routine/critically complex operational activities under procedures
- Identify root causes of operational issues and support issue resolution
- Maintain accurate records and transaction visibility
- Communicate with internal/external contacts for operational updates
- Support continuous improvement in systems and processes
