Warehouse Operative – Cencora (Alliance Healthcare Management Services) – Newcastle
Join Cencora and our pharmaceutical supply chain team in helping millions of patients across the UK. We’re looking for a flexible, motivated Warehouse Operative to support our mission of creating healthier futures, improving people and animal lives through seamless healthcare provision.
About the Role
The fast-paced pharmaceutical supply chain relies on the sharp, reliable support of our Warehouse Operative to ensure the integrity of every order shipped. You’ll work in a busy service centre, handling high-volume medical supplies—a role with real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish the Automat System to maintain stock availability
- Pick and pack orders across automated belts, manual zones, bulk storage, fridges, and secure areas
- Execute transport and routing tasks, ensuring orders are safely dispatched to their correct destination

- Strong communication skills: Read and follow instructions clearly; participate in team collaboration
- Visual and numeracy accuracy: Spot errors instantly, count inventory without guesswork
- Commitment to safety: Uphold strict health and safety protocols—no compromise
Physical Capabilities
- Manual handling certification required (no reasonable adjustments offered for applicants unable to perform such duties)
- Standing/walking for prolonged periods: The role includes sustained movement throughout shifts
- Footwear must comply with safety standards

What You Bring to the Team

At least 2+ years’ experience in one or more of:
- Warehouse support, distribution, shipping, receiving
- Inventory control, material handling
- Stock and order processing

Preference given to candidates with:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or related certification
- Detailed knowledge of:
- Fleet operations, transportation support, logistics documentation
- Handling high-visibility, time-sensitive medical supplies
- Systems for status tracking, material movement, and transaction control

Ability to troubleshoot routine operational issues and gather data for resolution

Proven record of hearing and addressing moderate-complexity customers or colleagues with clarity

Job Details
- Hours per week: 33
- Weekly patient impact: Handling millions of critical prescriptions and medical devices
- Hours worked: Monday–Thursday 16:00–23:00, Friday 15:00–22:00, Sunday 08:00–13:00, with 1 rotation (Saturday & 1 day off for us)
- Location: Newcastle office (Service Centre)
- Hourly wage: £12.96
