Job Details
- Working hours: 33 hours per week
- Shift pattern:
- Monday-Thursday: 16:00-23:00
- Friday: 15:00-22:00
- Sunday: 08:00-13:00
- Saturday off & 1 rotation day off
- Salary: £12.96 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced pharmaceutical supply chain team at our Service Centre in Newcastle. As a key player in serving millions of patients across the UK, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the medical supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish the Automat System
- Pick and pack orders on the:
- Manual picking belt
- Bulk areas
- Fridge areas
- Secure areas
- Carry out transport and routing duties, ensuring completed orders are delivered to their correct destinations
Requirements
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for collaboration
- Good visual accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail

This role requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Carry out manual handling tasks (in accordance with Health and Safety standards)

Previously Added Job Description Notes (Key Skills)
- Education/GED Equivalent: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years in:
- Warehouse support
- Distribution operations
- Shipping/receiving
- Inventory control
- Material handling
- Additional preference for Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in:
- Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of fleet operations administration and transportation processes
- Experience with warehouse operations (receiving, storage, order prep, shipment tracking)
- Proficiency in logistics documentation, transactional control & record-keeping
- Familiarity with inventory movement, loss prevention, and operational systems
- Operational Skills:
- Ability to process routine and moderately complex tasks within procedures
- Problem-solving for operational issues with data analysis support
- Accurate logistics workflow and record maintenance
- Effective comms with internal/external stakeholders on routine operational matters
- Continuous improvement for systems and processes within defined guidelines
