Warehouse Operative (Reading) – Permanent Full-Time Position
Are you looking for a fast-paced, challenging role that lets you drive your own career while contributing to a prestigious brand?
Here at GXO, we’re partnering with Waitrose and are now seeking Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Reading, offering a full-time, permanent position with an "any 5 days out of 7" shift pattern, including night shifts (22:00–06:00).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Working in a chilled, produce, and ambient warehouse environment, our Warehouse Operatives will:
- Support the picking of customer orders
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Use warehouse management systems and "pick by voice" technology
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety practices, aligned with company policies
- Meet daily productivity and performance targets
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and safety
Requirements to Succeed
- Desirable: Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to peak season demands
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong skills with a customer-focused approach
- Teamwork & Independence: Willingness to work both alone and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and adaptability
- Commitment to Health & Safety: Ensuring operational standards are consistently met
