Warehouse Operative Trainer / Team Leader
Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for a Warehouse Operative Trainer / Team Leader to join a well-respected and successful client on Bath Road.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to additional security checks required for this role, successful applicants MUST have lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £13.20 per hour
- Shifts available: 06:00-14:00/07:00-15:00/06:00-18:00 (You must be flexible with the hours you work)
- Shift Pattern: Rotational – Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday (This may be subject to change)
- Weekly Pay: every Friday
- Full training provided: 3 weeks
- Temp to Perm: performance-based
Key Duties:
The Warehouse Operative Trainer / Team Leader plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality training, driving operational excellence, and leading a team within a secure HMPPS environment. This position combines hands-on leadership with structured training delivery, ensuring all colleagues are competent, compliant, and consistently meeting performance and service standards.

- Delivering induction training for new starters
- Conducting Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) training and refresher sessions
- Providing ongoing operational training across departments
- Coaching and supporting staff to improve performance and service quality
- Handling customer complaints
- Leading team and supporting daily operational activities
- Monitoring compliance, performance, and training records
- Supporting operational tasks when required
You will complete a 3-week training course before officially starting the role.
Shifts:
The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working 5 days out of 7, Rotational – Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday and you will need to be fully flexible with the days and hours you can work. This could be subject to change!
An example of the shift hours:
- 06:00-14:00
- 07:00-15:00
- 06:00-18:00
Requirements:
- 5 years of working experience in the UK (compulsory)
- Valid UK driving licence (compulsory)
- Strong training delivery and presentation skills
- Previous leadership or team leading experience
- Good understanding of SSOW, compliance, and operational processes
- Excellent communication and coaching abilities
- Full computer knowledge (compulsory)
- Flexible to work rotational shifts
- Willingness to support overtime during peak operational periods

Please note: As this is an airport role, successful candidates must pass security checks in-line with CAA regulations. These checks include 5-year work and address history, DBS (must have no disqualifying criminal convictions), valid Right to Work.
