Warehouse Operative (Amazon – Avonmouth)

About the Role

Join us as a Warehouse Operative supporting Amazon in Avonmouth, where you’ll be part of a fast-paced, high-performing environment as a key member of the MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) team.

This role is full-time and permanent, operating on a 3 on / 3 off shift pattern (06:00–18:00 or 18:00–06:00). You’ll also benefit from:

  • 25 Saturdays
  • 26 Sundays
  • 17 full weekends off each year

Note: Some roles, including HLOP (High Level Order Picking), may involve working at height. Full training, safety equipment, and support are provided to ensure your confidence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Operating a range of MHE equipment (e.g., HLOP, VNA, Reach Truck, Counterbalance) to maintain warehouse efficiency
  • Supporting warehouse activities, such as:
    • Picking and despatching orders
    • Loading/unloading trailers
  • Championing a safety-first culture by adhering to health and safety procedures and promoting best practice across the warehouse

Experience & Skills

You’ll need:

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally with MHE equipment (e.g., HLOP, VNA, Reach Truck, Counterbalance)
  • A strong commitment to safety, including the ability to follow health & safety procedures
  • Confidence thriving in a fast-paced, high-performing operational setting
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to support colleagues across diverse warehouse tasks
  • Reliability, a positive attitude, and the flexibility to adapt to the needs of a busy logistics operation

  • £15.26/hour (day shift)
  • £17.55/hour (night shift)
  • Overtime paid at time and a third
