Warehouse Operatives (Days and Afters)

Warehouse Operative Alliance Automotive Logistics – Rotherham

  • Location: Rotherham (National Distribution Centre)
  • Reports To: First Line Manager
  • Shift: 0930–1800 or 1430–2300, Monday to Friday

About the Role

Comprising 77+ Distribution Centres across 8 countries, Alliance Automotive Logistics is a key logistics partner for the Alliance Automotive Group, known for its commitment to service excellence, customer/supplier relationships, and reliable operations.

Specialising in automotive parts distribution, the team delivers 250,000+ parts weekly to garages and repair centres, ensuring efficient vehicle repairs. As a Warehouse Operative in Rotherham, you’ll support order accuracy, stock management, and warehouse efficiency while maintaining safety and cleanliness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inbound:
    • Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods for quality, quantity, and accuracy
    • Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety concerns immediately

  • Order Processing:

    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders efficiently following company procedures
    • Operate pallet trucks/forklifts (training provided if needed)
  • Stock & Inventory:

    • Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
    • Ensure inventory systems (IT/data scanning) are updated correctly
  • Warehouse Maintenance:

    • Uphold cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health & safety regulations
    • Assure optimal space utilisation for efficient workflows
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
    • Adhere strictly to company policies, safety protocols, and SOPs

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Preferred (but not required): Warehouse/distribution experience
  • Physical ability: Lifting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods
  • Teamwork & communication: Strong interpersonal skills, team player mindset
  • Accuracy: Meticulous attention to detail for order processing
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts outside standard hours (evenings/weekends)
  • IT skills: Basic proficiency in data entry and scanning systems
