Warehouse Operatives (Days and Afters)
Warehouse Operative – National Distribution Centre, Rotherham
Location: Alliance Automotive Logistics, Rotherham
Reports To: First Line Manager
Shift:
- 0930 – 1800
- 1430 – 2300 (Monday to Friday)
Comprising over 77 Distribution Centres across 8 countries, Alliance Automotive Logistics serves as the vital distribution arm of Alliance Automotive Group. Built on service excellence, we foster long-term partnerships with clients and suppliers, ensuring sustained value, reliability, and efficiency. Specialising in delivering unparalleled logistical solutions, we supply over 250,000 parts to garages and repair centres across Europe—ensuring swift and efficient repairs for vehicles.
As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you’ll drive operational efficiency by managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining a safe, clean, and organised warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity accuracy
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, adhering to company procedures
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required)
- Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure the warehouse remains clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Assist with efficient loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
- Report discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety

Essential Skills and Experience
- Preferred but not required: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to working effectively in a team environment
- High attention to detail, especially in order processing
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if necessary
- Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks
