6 Month Contract - Based in Port of Tyne
Responsibilities
- Daily warehouse operations including effective receipt, despatch, stowage and where applicable maintenance of items critical to the operation in a timely and safe manner
- Ensure compliance with all documentation, customs, goods receipt and issue
- Stakeholder liaison with offshore and onshore teams to ensure logistics requirements are met
- Regular stocktaking to include counting, discrepancy investigation and reconciliation
- Priority towards vessel turnaround operations involving varied lifting, cranage and containerisation activities
- Arranging necessary support in advance to accommodate waterfront logistics requirements

- Basic warehouse knowledge with an understanding of picking and stowing items as a minimum
- Goods receipt process experience, i.e. checking of delivery notes and packaging
- Some warehouse management software experience with a view to be able to develop and action transactions. Bringing items on charge (goods receipt), issuing off to OCS/OSP, interrogation of software to obtain item information (stowage location, quantity in stock etc)
- Desirable:
- MHE experience/qualification. Forklift, telehandler, pallet truck/pallet lifter
- Full UK driving license for likely travel to OCS’
- Dangerous goods qualified and/or an awareness
