Renishaw is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to support warehousing operations within our Spectroscopy Productions Division, based at our Wotton-under-Edge site.
About the Role
This role is responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, and distributed efficiently to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods – typically in a specific area of the department.
- Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures.
- Perform a wide range of system transactions to support the warehouse operations.
- Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with both departmental staff and others across the business.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department/business.
Key Requirements
- A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required in the role to deal with various warehouse and order-related information.
- The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
- Good level of computer literacy – experience of using Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook).
- Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
- Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.
Person Specification
The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self-motivated ‘team player’ and have a methodical approach to problem-solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritize, and coordinate with colleagues.
