Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Operator role based in the City of Edinburgh. The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for safely receiving, unloading and loading steel products, ensuring accurate packing and labelling, and organizing materials within the warehouse for efficient storage and retrieval. Daily tasks include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, preparing orders for dispatch, and checking documentation to maintain accurate inventory records. The role involves following health and safety procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, and collaborating with colleagues to meet delivery schedules and service standards. The Warehouse Operator will work closely with the operations and logistics teams to support smooth, timely and safe warehouse operations.

  • Strong material handling capabilities, including experience with unloading and packing steel or other heavy goods.
  • Proficient in forklift operation and safe use of warehouse equipment, with valid certifications where required.
  • Sound understanding of health & safety practices, including manual handling, PPE use and safe workplace procedures.
  • Good organizational and basic numeracy skills for stock control, order checking and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle repetitive lifting and movement of materials.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a reliable and safety-focused work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or industrial environment is beneficial.
  • Willingness to undertake training and comply with company processes and quality standards.
