Warehouse Person – Join the UK’s Number One Trade Kitchen Supplier

Join Howdens as a Warehouse Person and be a vital part of our depot success. Running an in-stock business means accuracy in the warehouse truly matters—so if you pride yourself on standards, this is the role for you.

Your role will include ensuring our trade customers receive the exact stock they need, on time, through meticulous organisation, safety compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • A valid forklift licence (desirable but not essential if willing to complete training)
  • Strong understanding of stock control and health & safety protocols
  • Someone who can work both independently and as part of a cohesive team
  • Exceptional attention to detail—critical when monitoring accuracy of stock records and handling inventory
  • Proficient numeracy, literacy, and time management skills
  • A customer-focused mindset, backed by friendly, professional communication
  • Organisational and planning abilities to keep operations running smoothly
  • Reliability, hands-on approach, and pride in maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient warehouse

Key Responsibilities

  • Unloading deliveries & meticulously checking stock integrity in line with health & safety standards
  • Conducting daily checks on forklift trucks and warehouse equipment
  • Securing stock and ensuring accurate prep for dispatch
  • Regular stock audits, reports, and record-keeping
  • Stock rotation to uphold warehouse organisation and efficiency
  • Supporting trade customers with premium professionalism and helpfulness
  • Assisting with deliveries, collections, and general warehouse optimisation
